The DeSales Home School Association (known at some schools as the PTA or PTO) is an organization made up of DeSales families, teachers, and administrators. Our primary purpose is to enhance the learning environment at DeSales by promoting school unity, supporting the home-school connection, and providing financial support to our school.
Join us at the H.S.A. meetings, held in the DeSales cafeteria at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month. In addition to committee reports and an update from the Principal, most meetings feature an interesting guest speaker, or a showcase of our children's talents.
Each year the H.S.A. sponsors two major fundraising events, a Cash Raffle in the Fall, and an Auction and Dinner in the Spring. Participation in these fundraisers by every family is essential, since a portion of the funds raised by the H.S.A. is pledged to the school's operating budget. The success of these events has a direct impact on all of our families! Without these fundraising efforts, tuition rates would rise dramatically! You can get involved by chairing or joining a standing committee, lending a hand, sharing ideas, or just listening. And you never know, you may just learn something new! As an added incentive, students in Gr. K - 8 will receive an "Out of Uniform" day later in the month if one or both of their parents are in attendance at the monthly H.S.A. meeting! Plus you can participate in our H.S.A. Parent Appreciation Program! Parents at each monthly H.S.A. meeting are entered in a prize drawing just for showing up that night.
