Knight Swim Season Starts With Win

The DeSales Knights started their swim season this past Sunday at Buffalo State College with a win over Nardin Academy.  The Knights, lead by 8th grade captains William Rahill and Nya Muffoletto, won by a score of 131-115.  In the 8 and under division, double winners were William Swartz in the 100IM and 25 butterfly and Cooper Zugelder in the 25 and 50 Freestyle.  Also in the win column for the division were Jordan Kirchberger in the 25 backstroke and Dylan Lamont in the 25 breaststroke.

    The 9-10 division had a double winner in Lydia Lamont in the 50 freestyle and 50 backstroke and single wins by Henry Genewick in the 50 butterfly and Jillian Knuutila in the 50 breaststroke.

    The 11 and older division had relay wins in both the 200 yard Medley Relay with swimmers Aidan Morgan, Gracie Cordle, Natalie Killion and William Rahill and also in the 200 yard Freestyle Relay with Elizabeth Swartz, Nya Muffoletto, Madison Fragale, and Rahill.  Double winners were Morgan in the 200 freestyle and 50 backstroke, Killion 200IM and 50 butterfly.  Individual winners were Rahill in the 50 freestyle and Cordle in the 50 breaststroke.

The Knights compete again this Sunday against Stella Niagara at Buffalo State College at 1130 am.
