DeSales Catholic School participated in this year’s #GivingTuesday Campaign with a goal of securing new bibles for their middle school classrooms. The Catholic Elementary school participated in this global social movement back in late November and raised almost $500 in just one day.  Online donors who consisted of parents, alumni, friends and even a local book club help contribute enough money to secure a new classroom set of bibles for Mr. Paul Schuster’s Religion classes.

Giving Tuesday was a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
