DeSales Knights Swim Team Remains Undefeated

The DeSales Catholic Swim Knights keep the the undefeated streak going this season with 2 more regular season meets to go in the next 2 weeks followed by the Neumann League Championships at UB.

This past Sunday, 10/18/15, the Knights swam against St Mary's Swormville at the Koessler Athletic Center located on the Canisius College Campus. The Knights finished the day with a 162-127 team win.

The 8 and under division had individual wins by Henry Genewick in both the 25 freestyle and 25 fly. Sophia Goyette swam to a win in the 25 backstroke.

The 9-10 division kept flexing it's muscles over the league winning both relays and scoring 1st places in all the individual events with the exception of one. The 200 medley relay of Elizabeth Kershaw, Gracie Cordle, Aidan Morgan, and Elizabeth Swartz and the 200 free relay of Swartz, Natalie Killion, Henry Murphy, and Cordle recorded wins. In individual races Morgan doubled up wins in both the 100 IM and the 50 butterfly. Other 1st places finishes were Kershaw in the 50 freestyle, Killion in the 100 freestyle, and Cordle in the 50 backstroke.

 

 

 

 

 

The 11 and older division also recorded wins in both relays. Mark Crocker, Bianca Franco, Sam Murphy, and William Rahill teamed up both times for the wins in the 200 medley and free relay. The division also showed it's dominance with wins in all its individual races with the exception of one also. Individual winners were Delaney Adams in the 200 freestyle, Franco in the 200 IM, Rahill in the 50 free, Crocker 50 butterfly, Murphy in the 50 breaststroke and Ashleigh Cottrell in the 50 backstroke.

 

 

 

 

 

The Knights return to Canisius College next week with a meet against St. Benedicts.
