Alumni

DeSales Catholic School is blessed with strong foundation built upon the dedication and passion of our alumni.  The rich history of Catholic education in Lockport began with the arrival of the Sisters of St. Mary from Namur, Belgium and the establishment of St. Joseph's Academy. Our school stands at the site of the former DeSales High School, founded by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales.  When the Catholic elementary schools at our local parishes, St. John's, St. Patrick's and St. Mary's, merged in 1970 they became Lockport Catholic - the first Regional elementary school in our Diocese.  Spirited and generous alumni from all of these schools drove the Move of Faith that brought our students back to Chestnut Ridge and the DeSales campus. We encourage all alumni from these storied institutions to see DeSales Catholic as a continuation of their educational legacy in Lockport, and to share with current DeSales students their gifts of time, talent and treasure.
